Planning Your Trip

A football weekend or short break offers the perfect combination of sporting excitement, travel adventure, and camaraderie with fellow fans. Whether you're a die-hard supporter of a specific team or just looking to experience the vibrant atmosphere of a football match, planning a well-organised trip is essential to ensure an unforgettable experience. In this short guide, we will take you through the process of planning your football break..

Where to go

The first step in planning your football weekend break is deciding on the destination. Consider factors such as your favourite team's schedule, stadium atmosphere, and the overall appeal of the city. Our most popular football cities are Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, London, Munich, Rome and Milan offer an ideal blend of thrilling matches and fascinating cultural experiences.

Selecting the match

Before you confirm your booking, check the fixture to ensure it is confirmed. With TV driving the fixture schedule, many games are not scheduled for TV until 6-8 weeks prior so we always advise clients to hold off booking flights if travelling solely for the match. If you do book and the game changes date, we simply move your accommodation to fit.

The most popular games are typically local derbies with tickets being in high demand. These include El Clasico between Barcelona and Madrid, the Manchester Utd v Manchester City game, Inter v AC Milan, Lazio v Roma, Ajax v Feyenoord and Porto v Benfica. These games always need to be booked well in advance to secure tickets and accommodations.

Arriving at your destination

Experience the exhilarating thrill of arriving at your hotel ahead of the match, as our exclusive 2-night packages present an extraordinary chance to immerse yourself in the vibrant pre-match atmosphere in some of Europe's most captivating cities. With our carefully selected accommodations, you'll be conveniently situated close to both the Stadium and the heart of the city, granting you ample time to explore and embrace the rich local culture.

At the match

Arriving early allows you to fully immerse yourself in the captivating atmosphere of Europe's top football teams, as the crowd gradually fills the stadium. Each stadium boasts its own distinctive charm, making the pre-game experience a spectacle to behold. Rest assured, your tickets will be convenient e-tickets (though a few stadiums may still use paper tickets, we will promptly inform you if that's the case), making your smartphone the only essential item you need to carry. Get ready for an unforgettable football adventure with hassle-free ticket access at your fingertips!

As the exhilarating match comes to an end, and you prepare to journey back home, cherish the precious moments and reflections from your football weekend break. Treasure the memories by capturing them through photographs and heartfelt journaling, ensuring these remarkable experiences remain etched in your heart. Let the excitement fuel your desire for more adventures, and why not start laying the groundwork for your next thrilling football escapade? The journey doesn't end here; it's merely the beginning of a series of unforgettable football adventures waiting to unfold.
